Towards the end of every year, and for some, at the beginning of the new year, a lot of folks take out time to review the outgoing year. They evaluate how well they fared during the year and check the areas where they didn't achieve their goals, plans or resolutions, and then plan for the new year.
Personally, beyond all of the festivities and pomp at the end of year, it's always my best time to prepare and plan for the new year. I find that, for the most part, the degree to which we are aware of and maximize the opportunities and tools available to us can make the difference between achieving our goals and not achieving them.
In
this article I'll be sharing some tools that I use personally, and have
helped me be a lot more productive, goal-oriented, and even accomplish
certain tasks and milestones I had set for myself at the start of the
year.
Let's take a look at these very useful tools that we all can deploy to achieve our goals and make the most of the new year.
One
of my all-time favorite productivity tools is Evernote. For someone who
writes a lot, journals, and jots down ideas on the go, Evernote is a
great tool to help you never lose sight of your thoughts and ideas.
There
are many writing and note taking apps available, however, Evernote stands out and
works best for me as it is light, easy to use, and backs up my notes
remotely which can later be viewed on multiple devices.
This
app is available on Android, iOS, for Desktop as well as web. It is
ideal for writers, content creators, managers, indeed anyone who needs
to take notes and jots ideas/thoughts on the go.
Different plans exist, depending on your needs and requirements whether as an individual or enterprise. However, the basic free version works just fine for individual users.

We can achieve our goals and plans if we simplify them by breaking them down into smaller tasks and to-do's.
One
thing that the Any.do app helps you do, is organize your to-do list
into actionable steps. It also helps you with reminders to keep track of
tasks you are yet to accomplish as well as upcoming tasks.
Any.do helps you stay productive and manage your tasks efficiently on mobile on a daily, monthly and weekly basis.

A lot of creatives, designers, music artistes, writers, graphic artists, and freelancers often have the challenge of receiving payments from clients overseas.
It
can be a bit of a hassle and a potential turn off to
international clients if one is unable to receive payments online
locally due to restrictions. However, this is where Payoneer offers a
simple, easy solution.
Payoneer allows freelancers and creatives securely receive payments for jobs, royalties, and transactions completed online locally.
Once
you sign up and create an account, an offshore bank account is created with a
reputable overseas bank. Once that is done, you are immediately issued a globally
acceptable ATM Card issued by MasterCard with which you can withdraw funds from your bank
account in local currency.
Payoneer
account holders can receive payments from the most reputable companies,
including the likes of Facebook, Google, Amazon, Spotify, iTunes, Freelancer.com,
Fiverr, etc, globally both online and offline.

Someone
once said, it is not how much you make but how much you keep. Truly, it
makes no sense to make a lot of money and have nothing set aside for the
rainy day or for investment purposes.
Perhaps your
plan for the year ahead involves saving up money to achieve a
particular goal, which might involve buying a car, house, land,
furniture, or any other lofty purpose. The CowryWise app is one tool
that very easily helps you achieve your savings and investment goals.
Once
you set up a CowryWise account, all you need do is add an account or
bank card, then set up a savings plan/goal. You can set the
amount, frequency (daily, weekly monthly, etc) and date of deduction of
your target amount and have that amount deducted and saved away for you
on the CowryWise platform.
The coolest
part about this app is that, it not only helps you save money for your
goals, you even get to earn a reasonable interest on the app! When you
save on CowryWise, your savings are invested into interest-bearing
Treasury Bills, Government Bonds and other secure fixed income
investments.
What better way to
achieve your financial goals for the new year? Sign-up and Download the
CowryWise app now to start saving, earning and achieving your financial
goals.
By the way, if you sign up for free using this link HERE, you automatically get N250 credited to your account 😁😉🤗.
Quite similar to the CowryWise app is the Piggybank app. Remember that little piggybank you had as a kid, where you saved up those tiny coins and every spare change and cash gift you got? This app is literally your digital piggybank!
The PiggyBank
app is one savings app that helps you achieve your savings goals for the
year quite easily. With a cool user interface and different savings
plans and options, like the Target Savings, SafeLock feature and the Group Savings options among others. You definitely can't go wrong with your digital piggybank.

Probably one of my favorite productivity apps is Trello. For someone who handles multiple tasks across different teams or perhaps different organizations, it helps to have all of the tasks, work sheets, projects, vision boards, reports, in fact everything visible and organized on one singular platform.
Trello
is beyond a task manager, but more of an a project and team management
tool. For large or small organizations that have remote teams, or as a
manager with different units, teams or direct reports handling different
tasks and projects of which you need visibility on, Trello works best.
With
its visually appealing boards and user-interface, Trello is one app
that you want to start the year working and planning with whether as an individual user, or for your team or entire organization.
Simply use the web version, or download the desktop or mobile app to your laptop, iPhone or Android device.

Reach App
Last, but in no way least is the personal finance and budgeting app - Reach. This app basically acts as your personal finance manager helping you plan, monitor, track, analyze and even review your finances on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
With Reach, you can record and monitor your income and expenses, gaining insight into who your highest vendors are and where the bulk of your money is going; budget your projected expenses for the week, month, etc; together with friends organize your finances and motivate each other on the app; apply for and secure loans.
The Reach app is available for download free on the App store here. Download, sign up and start planning your finances to reach your goals!
